Marina Bay Sands

Spent almost the whole day out with some of my City College girls; Adely, Tilia & Kermise, yesterday! Believe it or not, this whole Marina Bay Sands outing was REALLY a VERY impromptu one. To put it in short, I felt like I was on an adventure! Hahaha, really! ^.^

The initial plan for the day was just to hang out around town with Tilia + do some window shopping and then meet up with Kermise once she's done with her work in the evening BUT our dear M.I.A. Adely suddenly called us around 3-ish in the afternoon asking if we wanted to find her in her room at MBS and go swimming together at the skypark! I was like, "SWIMMING?! WE DON'T EVEN HAVE SWIMSUITS, SWIM WHAT?!" Adely even told us all to buy cheapo bikinis, and not forget to buy one for her too, haha!!! Upon hearing it, Tilia and I got super excited about it and immediately called and filled Kermise in. So before we got the 'green light' from Kermise, Tilia and I were thinking should we really BUY new bikinis just to swim yesterday?! Cause it's quite a waste of money since we already have bikinis back at home : So we decided to walk around far east and checked out some bikini prices and they were definitely not "cheap". Our definition of "cheap" was $20 and less so we didn't buy 'em there, we cabbed straight from far east to MBS to find our dear Adely!!!(whom I haven't caught up with since god knows when -- since 'O' levels in 2009?!!) Totally missed her and her nonsense but she was always a busy busy girl!!! :(

Once Tilia & I reached, we waited at Tower 3's lobby for Adely to pick us up!!! The second I saw Adely we ran up to each other and exchanged tight bear hugs!!! *aww I love hugs -- especially when I've not seen a loved one for a long time* Then we took a lift up to her room on the 47th floor and her room was BIG and pretty, with a garden view. Even the bathroom was BIG... (Ah, I forgot to take pictures of the room) We three girls sat in the room chit chatting, laughing, gossiping like QUIDNUNCS(HAHA! The word we all couldn't stop using any-old-how when we learnt it back in English class during CC days) I had a really great time catching up with Adely, she's still the same old her(WHICH IS GOOD, HAHA!), missed her like crazy! Hehe :) After talking so much, we left for the Skypark (It was the first time Tilia & I went up there) and I have to say that the view there is MAGNIFICENT and to the people out there who wish to go there or are going there, don't forget to bring your swimsuits or you'll regret ;D hehehe. Simply amazing really. I wouldn't mind paying the $20 when I'm going up there again.

So okay here's the really exciting part: we girls were just sitting by the pool and saying, "If only we had our swimsuits!" Then Adely was like, "WE GO BUGIS STREET AND BUY NOW!!! OK LET'S GO!" and she stood up and pulled Tilia and I along, leaving us not even with 1 second to hesitate or even respond!!! HAHA! So we ran back to the room, grabbed our wallets and left hurriedly and excitedly, even Adely couldn't be bothered to change out of her bedroom slippers and went out with it! HAHAHA! It was really funny because she was wearing a really nice black dress with this leopard print scarf round her neck and carrying a MIU MIU bag too, so can you imagine these pair of flat white bedroom slippers on her feet?! Hahahaha!

Once we reached Bugis street, we ran to the second floor to this bikini shop called, "Bella Kini" if I remembered correctly. Well, there's only one bikini shop up there so yeah, haha. Their bikinis weren't exactly cheap but they had discounts like if we bought 3 bikinis, there'd be a 25% discount off the total. So that came up to about $28++ for each of us, which we just settled for since we were already so excited about swimming. I KNOW, REALLY IMPROMPTU AND CRAZY ASSES WASTING OUR $$$. So we picked some bikinis out, tried em, paid for em and wore em immediately underneath our clothes(we looked really SCANTILY dressed somehow cause we weren't exactly near a beach or something so ppl gave us the stares) ran to illuma's taxi/drop off point where Kermise picked us up and headed straight back to MBS again. Yeah man, we spent so much on cabfares and what not :\ I really burnt a big hole in my pocket yesterday.

When we reached MBS, we didn't even go back to the room to put down our stuffs or even take towels but headed straight for the skypark! Haha! By then it was already around 6:30pm! The waters were ICY cold but the jacuzzi was like HOT but really niceeeee ^.^ All in all we swam not even for about more than 45mins, and we went back to the room, HAHAHA. I wanted to stay though but no one else wanted to swim around anymore :( aww.... hahaha!

So we dried ourselves up and headed back to the room and took some more pictures with our iPhones(no one had their cameras -- see, it was really impromptu!!!) hahaha. Bathed, did what girls do best(makeup) etc..... rested a lil bit and left the room about almost 9pm.

Kermise, Tilia and I headed to Makansutra to have our dinner whereas Adely had to go to meet her other friend so we had to say goodbye :( After dinner, we were all too tired to do anything after all the 'ADVENTURES' we had so we decided to go home and rest. One of the most awesome days I probably had since school holidays. Love you so much girls!

I really don't know when will be the next time we'll have an outing like this again. Let's just hope the next outing would be even better and merrier with Peggy, Ruth, Michelle and Ginwei as well who weren't able to join us yesterday! Miss ya'll and take care girls!
