My family was invited by Aunt Julia (Dad's sister) for raya house visiting on the 18th. Just in case you were wondering why we or she celebrates hari raya, it's not because my Dad's side of the family are malays or anything like that but because this aunt of mine is a chinese muslim as she married and has a malay husband (my good & wonderful uncle), thus my (many) cousins on her side are all mixed - chinese malay peranakan. Get the clearer picture now? Haha.
The first thing I noticed when I stepped into her house was all the good yummy(!) food all spread out on the table for all her guests to stuff emselves with! Heh :p There was mee siam, lontong, lots of different types of meat - man, they were all really good. 3/4 of the food were like SPICY but I LOVE spicy food (hell yeah), so it was a really reallyyy good lunch for me ^.^ A pity my sister had to miss it all cause she wasn't feeling well, so she stayed home.
Besides the food, I had dessert and all the kuehs and what not.... I really ate a lot :x felt like I was about to blow, haha! Arina (cousin) & I kept stuffing ourselves with all the cookies, chocolates, brownies, whatever tarts that were on the coffee table..... :o Aunt Julia & Sara (cousin/aunt Julia's daughter) gave me ang paos! I didn't expect for em to give me a packet too, hehe. Did I mention Sara just had her 3rd child? In short, her name's Maya. She's only 3 months old and has pretty big eyes and long eyelashes.
More pics will be uploaded soon so do enjoy the ones below first! ^.^
